Torleif Ahlsand, Chairman

Mr. Ahlsand is General Partner in Northzone Ventures, and serves as board member in several high growth technology companies. Prior to Northzone, Mr Ahlsand was VP Corporate Finance in Handelsbanken Securities and a corporate development executive in Orkla ASA. He also has a professional technical background as a research scientist at CERN outside Geneva and as a telecommunications engineer in NERA Telecom. Torleif Ahlsand holds a M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from NTNU (1991) and an MBA with Honors from IMD in Switzerland (1997). http://www.northzone.com/
 
Steinar Fossen  

Steinar Fossen, Board Member

Mr. Fossen is Investment Director of Investinor and has held several key positions in companies like Ernst & Young and Kongsberg Maritime. Steinar Fossen has also founded several other companies, and he holds a Ph.D in Business Administration from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Master of Science degree from Høyskolen i Bodø. He has supplementary education from SRI (Stanford Research Insitute)/Stanford University in USA. Dan Artusi  

Daniel Artusi, Board Member

Mr. Artusi has more than 32 years experience and has been an independent consultant since April 2008, and is currently an operating executive with Golden Gate Capital since September 2009. He is also board member in several technology companies worldwide. Mr. Artusi has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a board member of Conexant Systems Inc., as chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Coldwatt Inc., as the President of Silicon Laboratories Inc., as the Chief Executive Officer and as a board member of Silicon Laboratories, and as Chief Operating Officer of Silicon Laboratories. Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Mr. Artusi held various management and executive positions at Motorola Inc. Mr. Artusi studied electronics engineering at the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) in Argentina.
 
Daniel Hoste  

Daniel Hoste, Board Member

Mr. Daniel Hoste has over 40 years experience from the high tech industry, and has developed an extensive experience in microcontrollers as well as in sales and marketing. Most recently he was President and CEO of Tundra Semiconductor, and prior to this he served as Vice President and General Manager of the 8- and 16-bit microcontroller division of Freescale Semiconductor, and as Vice President and Director of marketing and sales for Motorola's Wireless & Mobile Systems Group (WMSG). Mr. Hoste joined Motorola in 1989 and has since accrued a range of global operational experience, including running a division in Europe. Mr Hoste also held positions in international sales and marketing management at Motorola Semiconductor, serving all market segments of the semiconductor industry. Mr Hoste has worked at Advanced Micro Devices, managing the Southern Europe field applications team and regional sales, and in research and development positions at Royal Philips Electronics, ITT Industries, Inc. and The Thomson Corporation. Mr. Hoste completed Graduation in Engineering from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers, Paris, France in 1979.
 
Geir Førre  

Geir Førre, Board Member

Geir Førre has more than 17 years of semiconductor experience in research, development, marketing and management. Geir co-founded Chipcon and was the President and CEO of the company from its beginning in 1996 until August 2007. Geir led Chipcon’s development from the beginning as a design house to becoming the market leader in low-power RF solutions 10 years later. Chipcon was acquired by Texas Instruments in January 2006 for US$200 million. After the acquisition, Geir served as the Managing Director of Texas Instruments Norway ASA and as Product Line Manager of Texas Instruments’ Low Power Wireless business unit. Key focus areas after the acquisition included a successful integration of Chipcon into Texas Instruments and leveraging product, market and customer synergies. Geir holds a MSEE from NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
 
Øyvind Janbu  

Øyvind Janbu, Board Member

Øyvind Janbu has more than 11 years of semiconductor experience in research, development and management. In 1999, Øyvind joined Chipcon and held several key positions within the company, working on digital design, analog design, embedded microcontroller design, and ZigBee / IEEE 802.15.4 software and project management. He worked closely with several of Chipcon’s customers in defining and developing market leading RF transceiver and microcontroller products. Øyvind was also a contributing editor for the IEEE 802.15.4-2006 wireless PAN standard. Øyvind holds a MSEE from NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
