Geir Førre has more than 17 years of semiconductor industry experience spanning research, development, marketing and management.

He founded Energy Micro in 2007 and was previously a co-founder of Chipcon, being its President and CEO from its beginning in 1996 until August 2007. Geir led Chipcon’s development from its inception as a design house to becoming the market leader in low-power RF solutions a decade later. Chipcon was acquired by Texas Instruments in January 2006 for US$200 million.

Geir holds a MSEE from NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
