Zalina Shaher holds a Degree in Engineering from Southern Illinois University, USA. She started her career in Motorola Semiconductor as a Process Engineer in 1984 in the RF Communication Components Operations, and gained experience in all functions from test engineering, manufacturing, via New Products to full RF Operations.

After 17 years Zalina left Motorola and joined OnSemiconductor as Director of Strategies. In November 2002 she joined Silicon Lab to startup their Asia Operations. After 6 years in SiLabs expanding the Asia Operations team to about 50 people, she joined Honeywell Aerospace in the summer of 2008 to startup a brand new Aerospace Avionics factory in Penang. With successful completion and transition of this factory, Zalina Shaher joined Energy Micro as VP of Operations January 1st 2010.
