Altima to distribute Energy Micro microcontrollers in Japan

Yokohama, Japan and Oslo, Norway, December 7th, 2010 - Altima Corporation, the leading Japanese electronic products distributor and solution provider and Energy Micro, the energy friendly microcontroller company, today announced a distribution agreement for the ultra low power EFM®32 Gecko microcontroller product family. The company's extensive experience of working with innovative technologies combined with strong sales and technical support teams allows it to partner customers from initial product concept through to mass production.

Energy Micro has just announced its intention to introduce a complete graphical user interface development suite for its microcontrollers. Simplicity Studio will comprise all the information, documentation and tools required by engineers to more efficiently develop embedded systems. Elements of Simplicity Studio already available as free downloads include energyAware(TM) Profiler, the world's first energy debugging tool for embedded microcontroller system development, and energyAware Designer, for resolving I/O pin conflicts.
