Energy Micro appoints Sunin for Korea

September 7th, 2010 - Energy Micro, the energy friendly microcontroller company, has appointed Sunin Technology as a distributor in Korea. Under the terms of the agreement, Sunin is supporting the complete family of Energy Micro low power MCUs, comprising the ARM® Cortex(TM) M3 based EFM32 Tiny Gecko, Gecko and Giant Gecko devices.

Founded in 1986, Sunin technology is one of Korea's leading suppliers of semiconductor components and is headquartered in the Gyeonggi-do province of South Korea. Regarded as a total solution provider, the Sunin team covers a broad range of sectors, including telecom, security, medical and consumer.

Based on the ARM® Cortex(TM) M3 core, Energy Micro's EFM32 Gecko microcontroller family has been proven to consume a quarter of the energy required by other 8, 16 and 32-bit microcontroller solutions. The EFM32 Gecko microcontroller is in full production and details of the software and pin-compatible Tiny Gecko and Giant Gecko products have recently been announced. The microcontrollers are supported by a comprehensive tool suite.
