EFM32 Brown-out Detector

What?

The BOD is available in Energy Mode 0 to Energy Mode 3 and monitors the supply voltage.

Why?

The BOD compares the supply voltage to fixed, safe levels to ensure correct system operation.

How?

The BOD and POR use exceptionally low power while monitoring the applied power. If the supply voltage drops below the safe level thresholds, a system reset will be generated. The cause for the reset is available for the software by reading the Reset Cause register.
