EFM32 Microcontrollers Energy Mode 0
Ultra Low Power Energy Mode 0

Energy Mode 0 - EM0

Low energy, high 32-bit performance

Energy Mode 0 is also called active mode. In this mode all peripherals can be enabled and the Flash and the Cortex-M3 processor are available for application execution. Due to its high processing power the EFM32 can quickly enter one of the low energy modes from EM0. This effectively halts the CPU and Flash memory. After a wake up, all low energy modes return to EM0 within 2 µs. The fast response time makes it easy to enter the low energy mode and return to the high 32-bit performance when needed. The power consumption in EM0 is ultra low with only 180 µA/MHz.
