EFM32 Microcontrollers Energy Mode 1
Ultra Low Power Energy Mode 1

Energy Mode 1 - EM1

Preserve energy with efficient Energy Modes

Energy Mode 1 disables the Flash memory and the Cortex-M3 processor. This effectively reduces the energy needed for operation while maintaining peripheral functionality. Both the PRS and the DMA are available in Energy Mode 1. A system is therefore able to collect and output peripheral data without CPU intervention. This autonomous behavior enables the system to remain in EM1 for long periods and increases battery life time. The low-leakage RAM ensures full data retention. The power consumption in EM1 is ultra low, only 45 µA/MHz.
